Monopolar Radio Frequency at Chique

Chique is proud to offer a new and innovative treatment in skin tightening and fat reduction, Radio Frequency!

What is Monopolar Radio Frequency?

Based on the scientific term Radio frequency (RF), radio frequency treatment is a non-surgical means of “reshaping” the body and the face from beneath the superficial layer of the skin. This method uses sophisticated devices specifically designed to treat men and women’s most common skin ageing problems like wrinkles, excess fatty tissues, or cellulite.

Monopolar vs Bipolar

There are two types of Radio Frequency, Monopolar, and Bipolar. Monopolar energy travels from the hand piece to a distant pole and requires a large ground electrode that is applied to the body. It penetrates up to 20mm, affecting both skin and subcutaneous fat. Bipolar energy travels from one pole on a hand piece to another, penetrating only 2mm to 4mm into the skin. Monopolar is the most effective type of Radio Frequency as it targets deeper into the layers of our skin and is able to dissolve subcu taneous fats! Someone might ask, why do some clinics use Bipolar over Monopolar, the main reason is the price! A Monopolar machine costs much to purchase than a bipolar.

How Does It Work?

The method utilises Monopolar Radio Frequency waves which basically heat energy meant for tissue remodelling and production of elastin and new collagen. Unlike invasive procedures which primarily affect the most superficial layers of the skin, the resulting heat of the Radio frequency treatment works mainly on the deepest layer of the skin, the dermis, without affecting the upper layers that are above it such as the epidermis.

As heat is a stimulation that promotes contraction of the underlying tissues, especially at the dermis level, soft tissues found within that area of the body compress, realign, and even produce new collagen, a process that normally takes many months to complete. With healthy new collagen present from the deepest level of the skin, exposing such soft tissues to further Radio frequency waves help sculpt and tighten those tissues into a more youthful and elastic surface.

What Does It Do & What Are The Benefits?

Monopolar Radio Frequency can be used on the face, neck, arms, abdominal, waist, legs and buttocks.

Facelifts and skin tightening rejuvenation

Radio Frequency Skin tightening thermalises the deep dermal layer to activate cell function, promote blood circulation to improve oxygen, improve lymphatic drainage to remove toxins and balance water retention, stimulate the growth of collagen and cell production.

Fat Dissolve & Cellulite Reduction

By Utilising diathermy, the RF thermal generates friction heat which improves blood circulation, oxygen availability, lymph drainage, toxin removal, promotes tissue metabolism, eliminate cellulite lumps and bumps and burn fat.

What Happens During The Treatment

Your practitioner will apply a lubricating gel over the treatment area to allow for free movement of the hand piece that delivers a targeted RF energy. When the procedure is finished, a soothing gel/cream or cold pack may be applied to your skin.

How Many Sessions Are Needed & What About Maintenance?

Depending on what area is being treated, usually, our patients will require anywhere from 6 to 8 sessions, followed by a 6 to 12 monthly maintenance session.

Possible Side Effects

While most patients will not experience any side effects, the most common side effects of RF treatment are swelling, redness or bruising around the treated area, this reaction usually disappears after a few days.

Book Now!

For the month of April, we have an introductory offer of $199 per RF treatment.
