Facial Peels

SUN DAMAGE? PIGMENTATION? UNEVEN SKIN TONE OR BREAKOUTS?

OUR RANGE OF PROVEN ADVANCED FACIAL PEELS CAN BE TAILORED TO YOUR INDIVIDUAL SKIN NEEDS.

Facial PeelsSometimes daily cleansing, exfoliating and moisturising just aren’t enough. Much like a fitness trainer will improve your sports performance, facial chemical peels with Chique can kick-start your skin to begin renewing the damaged cells and improving your complexion.

At Chique we offer a variety of medi-aesthetic facial peels ranging from therapist applications to high strength doctor only peels.

Medi-aesthetic peels, sometimes also called chemexfoliation or derma-peeling, are techniques that are used to improve the skin texture and tone. There are many forms of peels that range in intensity from very mild to very strong.

Medi-aesthetic peels do literally cause your skin to peel. The strength of the peel determines the number of layers of skin peeled, the length of the downtime and inevitably the final result. Regular mild peels can improve your skin over time, but higher strength peels will provide a faster result. After a strong peel, the new, regenerated skin is usually smoother, more even in colour and less wrinkled than the old skin. The new skin also is temporarily more sensitive to the sun.

AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS

  • Keep skin care routine simple following a peel. Wash your face with cool water to soothe the skin
  • It is important to Moisturise and hydrate the skin since peels can temporarily compromise your skin’s protective barrier
  • Drink more water to help avoid dehydration, which could make your skin feel tight
  • Apply sunscreen with SPF30 or more and avoid direct sun exposure
  • Avoid strenuous workouts, dry saunas and steam rooms. Increased blood circulation to the face can intensify warming, tingling, itching, redness or other uncomfortable side effects on freshly peeled skin
  • Don’t over-exfoliate. Peels are maximum-strength exfoliants, so you don’t need to use a separate exfoliant within 3-4 days of your peel. Over-exfoliating can lead to additional redness or sensitivity
